After Hours coverage
For after hours and weekends we have several urgent care facilities you can go to.
Emergency Care
In the event of a life threatening emergency or one in which you are in doubt, call 911 or go immediately to the nearest emergency room. Follow your insurance guidelines for notification of your Primary Care Physician and your insurance company in an emergency situation involving an emergency room visit.
Hospitalization
Our patients with Victor Valley IPA, Heritage IPA, or private health insurance can go to either Saint Mary's Hospital or Victor Valley Hospital. Our Vantage members must go to the hospital they choose or were assigned when the insurance was provided.
Specialist Referrals
Many insurance companies require you to be evaluated by your primary care physician to determine the need for a referral to a specialist. If needed, our office will complete a referral form before you make an appointment with the specialist.
Prescriptions and Refills
Diagnostic office visits are required for Prescriptions. The prescription will indicate the appropriate number of refills. Additional refills are not routinely authorized over the phone. Office visits are usually required.
